The West Hartford Land Trust, Inc. was established in 2002. Our mission focuses on the preservation, improvement, protection and conservation of natural resources, primarily in West Hartford, Connecticut. With your support, we hope to reinvigorate the Land Trust and create more opportunities for residents to spend time outside enjoying open space and the natural beauty of our town.
There are many ways to support the land trust: join as a member, volunteer during a fundraiser or event, donate land, assist with property maintenance, follow us on Facebook, or donate while you shop via Amazon Smile.
The West Hartford Land Trust currently owns 6 parcels in town totaling 16.8 acres.
West Hartford is currently updating its 10-year Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD). This document will be used as a guide for the next decade of land use and conservation in town. Make your voice heard and help guide the towns vision by using the mapping tool to report locations that need improvement s throughout West Hartford.
