About

The West Hartford Land Trust, Inc. was established in 2002. Our mission focuses on the preservation, improvement, protection and conservation of natural resources, primarily in West Hartford, Connecticut. With your support, we hope to reinvigorate the Land Trust and create more opportunities for residents to spend time outside enjoying open space and the natural beauty of our Town.

Land trusts are non-profit, community-based organizations dedicated to the permanent protection and stewardship of land for public benefit. According to the Connecticut Land Conservation Council, over 137 conservation organizations protect land in Connecticut, representing the third highest number of land trusts in any state in the country.

The West Hartford Land Trust currently owns 6 parcels in West Hartford, totaling 16.8 acres.
